Installation
Light Art

Glow-in-the-dark foil, vinyl stickers, spotlights, timer

With clothes and accessories we express ourselves, we can enhance, distort or change our identity. Certain pieces of fashion can evoke different feelings in us or can us make see ourselves or our environment in an altered light. We can choose to be someone else or to be the true us. Fashion is a superficial layer, nevertheless it is part of our identity.

Pose is a playful installation that invites people to interact with the space, with the audience and with themselves. The work plays on the demarcation of who we are and who we want to be.

The glow-in-the-dark installation will come to life using intervals of light that capture silhouettes of passers-by when they are posing, touching and looking at the artwork. They can interact and dress up with the given fashion accessories and cast their shadow silhouettes like an instant personal graffiti.

The ephemeral shadows continue to overlay each other, yet leaving traces of identities behind that add up and blend in with each other telling never-ending stories.
